After having my client crash for the umpteenth time after accidentally changing a spell bar, I have finally decided to fix the glitch that occurs with spellbar saver after the addition of the 8th spell bar.

 

If someone can remind me what I need to do, that would be appreciated.

Update Decal to the new version to start. That should fix the crashing caused when Decal is running and you do something to the 2nd spell bar. After that, I think there is a VVS version of Spellbar Saver that you can try.

 

Edit: The VVS version of Spellbar Saver may not be released in plugin form now that I am thinking about it. Virindi may have just put the code up on her server.

Is there any way I can get it off my fingers quickly without betraying my cool exterior? -Fox Mulder

When you say "new," do you mean the latest official version or the latest Beta version? Currently I'm running the former and am experiencing the issue.

 

And if you can point me to the best/most recent/fixed version of spellbar saver that would be great.

Decal 2.9.6.0 is the old version. It suffers from the spellbar bug.

2.9.6.5 is the current new version and does not have the issue.

 

I'm thinking that the VVS version of Spellbar Saver is the exact same as the non VVS version, it just has the code for VVS included. However, like I said, I am thinking the code is available, but possibly not compiled, so for the moment you can try the version linked to on the AC wiki. I'm not sure how well that works with the 8th spell bar, though.

As long as I can fix the bug, that's fine.

I haven't taken much advantage of the 8th spell bar on any of my toons, anyway :)
